Nabbee vs Fresha: which booking app fits a small salon?

Fresha is a booking platform for salons and spas with a consumer marketplace that can send you new clients. Nabbee is a smaller booking app built for independent shops, with deposits that go straight to your own GCash or Maya in the Philippines.

Both can run your calendar and take online bookings. The real differences are how new clients are charged, how deposits reach you, and who you talk to when something goes wrong.

Fresha is the better choice when

  • You want a big consumer marketplace to send you strangers, and you are fine paying a one-time fee for each new one.
  • You need built-in card terminals, buy now pay later, and payroll features in one system.
  • Your clients already book on Fresha and expect to find you there.

Nabbee fits better when

  • Most of your clients come from your own Instagram, Facebook and word of mouth, and you do not want a new-client commission on any of them.
  • You are in the Philippines and want deposits in your own GCash or Maya, not held by a platform.
  • You want a setup done for you and a real person to message when you need help.

The new-client fee, in plain numbers

Fresha’s marketplace fee only applies to brand new clients who discover you through the Fresha marketplace. On a $60 appointment, 20% is $12. On a $20 appointment the $6 minimum applies. Returning clients and clients who book through your own link are not charged that fee, according to Fresha’s pricing page.

If most of your bookings come from your own social pages, the fee may rarely apply. If you lean on the marketplace to fill your chair, it is a real cost of each first visit and worth budgeting for.

Deposits in the Philippines

Most Philippine salons take deposits by GCash or Maya, then check screenshots in Messenger. Nabbee keeps that habit but puts it in one place: the client sees your GCash or Maya details on the booking page, pays you directly, uploads the proof, and you confirm it from Payment review.

Because the money goes to your own wallet, there is no payout to wait for. For safety, Nabbee checks a new shop’s details before deposit requests are switched on.

Moving over

  • Export or list your services, prices and durations first. That is most of the setup.
  • Keep your old link live until your future bookings are done, then swap the link in your bio.
  • Tell regular clients the new link once, in a story or a pinned post.
