How-to guide

How to add a booking link to your Google Business Profile

When someone searches your salon’s name on Google or finds you on Maps, your Business Profile is the first thing they see. Adding a booking link there turns that search into a booking without a single Messenger reply.

Google My Business is now called Google Business Profile, so older tutorials use the old name for the same thing. Google lets you add up to 10 links per category, including links to book an appointment. Here is how to add yours. The steps are the same in the Philippines and the US.

Updated

Before you start

  • You need to be an owner or manager of the Business Profile. Sign in with that Google account.
  • Have your booking link ready. Open it on your phone once to make sure it loads and shows the right services.
  • If your profile is not verified yet, finish verification first. Some editing options only appear on verified profiles.

Add the link from Google Search

  1. Step 1: Search for your business name on Google while signed in. Your profile tools appear at the top.
  2. Step 2: Select Booking.
  3. Step 3: Select Add link. If you already have links, select Add another link.
  4. Step 4: Paste your booking link.
  5. Step 5: Select Save.

Or add it from Google Maps

  1. Step 1: Open Google Maps signed in, and go to your Business Profile.
  2. Step 2: Select Edit profile, then the Booking option.
  3. Step 3: Select Add link, paste your booking link, and select Save.

Booking link or Reserve with Google?

A booking link (also called an appointment link) is a link you paste yourself. Customers tap it and book on your own booking page. Any booking app that gives you a link works this way, including Nabbee.

Reserve with Google is a separate partner program. Booking providers that Google approves can let customers book inside Google without leaving the page, and the provider connects it for you. You do not need it to get bookings from Google: a booking link on your profile already gives customers a way to book.

Make it the preferred link

If more than one booking link shows on your profile, set yours as the preferred one so it shows first. In your profile, select Booking, then Set preferred link, choose your link and Save.

Remove old links you no longer use

Some booking providers add links to profiles automatically. If an old provider’s link is still showing, go to your profile, select Booking, then Remove Provider. Google says providers must remove the link within 5 days of the request.

After you add it

  • Search your business on a phone that is not signed in to see what customers see. Changes can take a little while to appear.
  • Use the same link in your Instagram bio and your Facebook Page button, so every channel books into the same calendar.
  • Keep your hours on Google the same as your booking hours. Mismatched hours are a common reason clients message instead of booking.

Google changes menu names from time to time. If a button has moved, Google’s own help article below has the current steps.

Questions owners ask

Does Google charge to add a booking link?

Google does not charge to add links to your Business Profile. Your booking app may have its own plan price.

Is Google My Business the same as Google Business Profile?

Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile. Steps written for either name add the same booking link.

Do I need Reserve with Google to take bookings from Google?

No. Reserve with Google is a separate program run with approved booking partners. A booking link on your profile works without it.

Can I use my Nabbee link?

Yes. Your Nabbee booking link works as an appointment link on Google, in your Instagram bio and on your Facebook Page.

Why can’t I see the Booking option?

Check that you are signed in with an account that manages the profile and that the profile is verified. Some business categories show different options.
