Nabbee vs Square Appointments: which works for your shop?

Square Appointments is a booking tool from Square, best known for its card readers and point of sale. It has a free plan and paid Plus and Premium plans. Nabbee is a booking app for independent shops, built Philippines first.

The biggest difference for a Philippine shop is simple: Square does not list the Philippines among the countries where it supports card payments.

Square Appointments is the better choice when

  • You are in one of Square’s countries and already use Square for payments or retail.
  • You want a free plan and you take most payments by card in person.
  • You want banking, payroll and loans from the same company.

Nabbee fits better when

  • Your shop is in the Philippines.
  • Your clients pay deposits by GCash or Maya rather than card.
  • You want your booking page set up for you.

If you are in the Philippines

Square’s list of supported countries does not include the Philippines, so its card processing is not an option for a Philippine shop. Nabbee works with the payment habits you already have: the client sends the deposit to your GCash or Maya and uploads proof, and you confirm it in Payment review.

If you are in the US

Square is a solid pick if you already use its readers. Nabbee US shops take card deposits through Stripe at booking time, and those payments may include Nabbee’s platform fee, disclosed in the Terms. Compare the total cost on your real monthly volume rather than the headline plan price.
